Says Maymon is day to day and that they would consider redshirting if they had to, but right now he doesn't want to discuss that because he believes if you start talking about a redshirt it might breed complacency in Jeronne's rehab.

Says team didn't have the edge he wanted in Puerto Rico so he brought out the weight vests again in preparation for the Oakland game, says it worked really well (obviously)

Talked a bit about Georgetown and mentioned their offensive tendencies, players and stats. He knows their team inside and out.

Said he likes playing a tough non-con schedule

Love to hear the talk about a tough non-conference schedule. That's one thing I loved about Bruce and worried about Martin when he got hired. Also, I love the talk about Maymon. Sounds like he's pushing hard to see the court. I really hope he doesn't have to redshirt.

I can't WAIT for this Georgetown game! It could be a defensive classic.

That's what I was afraid his opinion on Maymon situation would be. I've thought for awhile that he was playing down things out of fear that it would create complacency, he wants him back this year, obviously.

I hate it, really do, but I'm really thinking this ends in a redshirt.

If Maymon can't go and I hope he can. Then I know he will work hard to be ready for next year. He can be a great mentor to all three of the freshmen incoming and getting them ready to go to play College and SEC ball. That line up of
Golden
Hubbs
Richardson/McRae
Maymon
Stokes (if he stays as its looking now).
Is nothing to sniff at. Will be contenders for the SEC and a high seed in the tournament possibly. But all in all I want Maymon back soon missing a season is tough.

If stokes and Maymon return I think next years team is potentially final 4 good...obviously a lot depends on how far they go this year, but JMO.

I'd agree with that. That's a lot of depth and another year that CCM can develop everyone
