In addition to the Hall suspension, I noticed that CCM cleared the bench at the end of the game, but Woolridge and Washpun did not play. I haven't heard about any injuries. I assume Washpun is sitting because of the technical at the end of the Florida game. Anybody know about Woolridge? Doghouse again? Haven't really heard anything out of him since the KY game. All season coach has been willing to bench anybody who was not buying in. I like the consistency he's showing.:clapping:

I doubt Woolridge and Washpun not playing means anything. Could be wrong, but I think they just didn't get in the rotation before we sent the scrubs out. When you send out the final-minute team, you don't put Washpun and Woolridge on the court IMO.

You may be right, but with Hall out you would think that Woolridge would at least get in at some point. Yemi even played 6 mins. I could see coach sitting Washpun after getting a T in only 6 seconds on the court Saturday. I'm gonna go listen to CCM's postgame to see if anybody asked.

When we have Maymon, Stokes, Yemi, and Miller, I just don't see a need to play Woolridge. But IDK, you could be exactly right, who knows?

Grasping for straws. If anyone has bought in to Martin it would be Woolridge. Dude's given great effort everytime he's gotten in.

Didn't think about Miller. He didn't play either. Maybe CCM just liked the 3,4 guard looks against Arky, especially with us shooting so sharp tonight. Moving on. Thanks for your thoughts on this one. Good points.

I have heard coaches say before that scholarship kids that aren't in the rotation aren't put in the game with the walk-ons in the final seconds out of respect. Not sure I agree but I have heard more than one coach say that.

Agree with the other posters. Swiper has really improved and worked hard for Martin. Washpun is an average freshman that has made some dumb decisions when he's seen the floor (2 tech's ect...)

I would agree like you wouldn't put miller in with the walk ons. But Richardson was out there so kind of interesting...

The key with Richardson was he had already played. It wasn't a "slap" in his face to put him out there for a few seconds with the walk ons to dribble out the clock. Many coaches handle it the same way.

Yea I get what you are saying and as the other poster said 4 walk ons so makes sense Richardson stats out there. Honestly IMO I never understood putting in walk ons for the last 30 seconds just to hold the ball. Either let en shoot or leave the starters in to hold the ball. Or get them in there with 2 minutes left so atleast they can actually play.

I agree I felt bad for them standing out there holding the ball.

Wow, some people here try too hard and read way to much into things.

I remember at the beginning of the season a poster making hay out of the fact that players weren't wearing headbands and it's a sign that now things are different.

Oops.

I really like the way the team is playing right now. I love the defense we are playing. I love the fact that we are diving for loose balls. Tatum almost got a steal when he was on the floor for a loose ball and knocked it out of a players hands standing I love it. Go Vols
