OK people i see you all talking about coach Martin on here. About the style of play. Well if you watched the Vols this year it was more like Buzz ball. Boreing. I mean after this team won the pre season NIT they were finished. No hustle what so ever. No good shooters from 3 point. Start running your offence under 10 seconds. We need to get behind this coach. I hope he keeps everyone Harris,Hopsin,Ware,Jones, and then add a few more. And coach them up and this team could surprise some next year.

Quote from Will Creekmore MSU

Senior center Will Creekmore, who transferred to MSU from Boston University during Hinson's last season, tried to put the differences in the two coaches' teams in perspective.

"Just a mind-set, the will, toughness -- all those words come to mind," Creekmore said of Martin. "He's just different than any coach I've ever had. Giving a hundred percent effort is not optional; it's the norm. You go into practice knowing you're going to be spent, but you know you're going to get better at the same time.

"I think he established a winning culture. I didn't actually play for coach Hinson, but I was under him as a (redshirt) guy, and I just know that every game we played (under Martin) we expected to win. The toughness level is at a new high."

I like that. If someone doesn't employ literally a high school level 1-2-1-1 press and instead run a disciplined, well-coached motion offense, then it's Buzzball. And I'm not just picking on you; it's been said by many on here.

High praise for Bruce Pearl from the likes of you. Do back-pedal, please.

Haha. I misread his post. I thought he was talking about Missouri State and was calling Martin's style of play buzzball. I was definitely not calling the garbage we ran this year a well disciplined offense.
