talking about trying to set up the program he wants (indirectly), mostly about defense.

"I struggle with the buy-in part because it is either or. I don't think the guys are saying, `Coach, I am not defending.' I don't think they have been defending at the level they have needed to be. I don't think some guys took pride in defending. I think the guys have really bought in and been very receptive and really responsive to what we are doing. I don't get caught up in buying in, it is either or. You have to make a decision, or I will make it for you."

That is absolutely awesome. I love it plain and simple.

Man, I really hope Martin isn't a bust because I really like him. It would be awesome to have him winning 20+ games per season for us in the future.

I will say this, I think Coach Martin has shown the first hint of his abilities by the lineup he put on the floor against florida. It was a lineup that stifled one of the best three point teams in the country and this is our weakness or was. His ability to manipulate the players roles where they fit will be key to our teams chances this year. I think he is getting past the run and gun mentality of the athlete to playing the basketball players and that is what we saw against Florida. :good!:

I think we'll see some attrition in the off season.
Those that revert back to dogging on defense will be finding new schools.

any thoughts or predictions on who/how many?

Miller definitely.
Many will disagree, but I see McRae departing. Benching him woke him up a little on defense against florida.
I see him playing fewer and fewer minutes and Richardson a lot more.

as a person i really like miller he is a good kid but as far as the program we could definitely use the scholarship. i just wonder if he will transfer, willing to sit out a year, and then play his senior year, as he already has a red shirt on his resume. is that even allowed? he redshirted, then played at pitt, then juco, now here...thats 4 years would he have to sit or he could graduate and transfer and play immediately right? i hope he goes as it will benefit both him and us i believe.

Jordy is a difficult one to predict. everytime i think about it from one side it makes sense for him to leave, it doesnt seem he is understanding what it takes to see the floor for coach martin. at the same time though i see him as the first guy off the bench EVERYTIME, and leading the cheers on the bench. he really seems to enjoy his teammates, coaches and the university of tennessee. i really like mcrae and think he is a great young man and represent the university well he is just a head scratcher. as you said i have often wondered about him transferring just dont know if he will, i really hope he buys into ccm and starts getting more minutes next year once tatum is gone.
