What we don’t know: Who is going to replace the big plays made by DT Peria Jerry? Jerry led the SEC in tackles for loss with 13 solos and 10 assists in 12 games. DE Greg Hardy showed flashes of brilliance last year rushing the passer. He needs to step up. Ole Miss led the SEC in sacks last season with 38 and does not want to have a drop off. DT Jerrell Powe has had a long and winding road to get to Ole Miss. He’ll get a chance to show what he can do

Maybe we didnt see it this year, but you can take it to the bank that he will find the right guys. Look what he left behind for Nutt.

Jerry: 3*
Hardy: 3*

Even if they aren't the most talented, O can make the DL good.

Maybe Coach O can sweet talk Jeff Luc a little for us. But even if he can't I'm sure he'll pull some amazing players that other coaches overlook.

Agreed but all of these coaches will find the right guys and very soon it will become a plug and play enviroment. I can not wait to see how they turn this program around and build a dynasty.

Nutt is reaping what O sowed right now. Im encouraged by the rebels success on D because if CEO can do it there he can do it anywhere.

That and 37 scholarships per year will let Nutt beat every one else becasue they will have more players. I hear that Mississippi was changing NCAA rules to add more players on the feild. His new D will be the Rebel 8-9

It isn't just a matter of making the DL good either, though. Coach O can evaluate talent...and found 3* guys who could can play. There are a bunch of 3* guys that would have been national recruits had things been a bit different, such as if they hadn't changed schools, got injured, etc.

Very encouraging info! I'm looking forward to see not only what kind of talent O can recruit for us, but also what he can do with the talent we already have in place. IMO the line of scrimmage is the most important thing to winning games consistently. We desperately need the help in this area, and hopefully O can bring us to the next level!

1. Antonio Richardson (6'6 320)-DT Ensworth- Massive defensive tackle sat out this past season after a transfer from Mt. Pleasant. Expect an immediate impact next season as he will be one of the more dominant linemen in the South.

maybe but in the Meat Market book he did say that some of the highest rated linemen really weren't explosive enough for him to go after. I'll trust his judgment though
