Coach Pearl makes the news.

At least Hamilton is standing up for his basketball coach.

Hamilton said on Tuesday he contacted the Southeastern Conference office to make sure officials were aware of Brady's comments.

Why? Is it some kind of rules infraction to say something about an opposing coaches' class?

Agreed - I'm glad to see that he recognizes it for what it was and values the fun-attitude the Pearl brings.

I thought it was a hoot during the game and so did the announcers.

It probably is much ado about nothing, but I like the fact that Hamilton is doing this. People should be called out for saying stupid things.

It's nice to see passion about the men's hoops. Hope it will continue with a pasting of the gators this w/e.

i think this kind of stuff is great....go ahead with it...sounds like good clean fun to me....has anyone heard what Bradshaw thought about it?

this sounds like something Spurrier would do if you ask me....UT lost the game but all they can talk about is Pearl!!! I bet he'll be great next off season when he's doing his speaking tour...

From yesterday's Chattanooga Free Press....
...As for Bradshaw, he said he loved the atmosphere at LSU and wanted in the game at the point Pearl inserted him.
"I really took it as the coach having my back in a situation," Bradshaw said. "If Coach Brady didn't like it, then that's fine."

More from Bradshaw...
"I was telling Major[Wingate], I don't think I'll get booed in Memphis like him in South Carolina, I don't think they care enough that I didn't come to Memphis."
