If Scott has his way at Tennessee, Byrd and Williams will just be the beginning. Scott doesn’t see being outside the state of Florida as a hindrance to hiring top talent.

“You go in and if the main focus is on building relationships that can withstand no matter where you are, I think no matter shirt you put on or what initial you put on your shirt, those relationships are there,” Scott said. “People feel good about the person that you are and that’s going to give you an opportunity and sell the product you have now.”

While Florida, Florida State and Miami will always be tough to beat, Scott already has an inside track. His cell phone is full of contacts in Florida he can reach out to.

So, maybe offering 20+ recruits from IMG was a product of landing Scott. He will pay huge dividends in the long-run. Miami fans must hate us.

Did you not see some of the stuff coming from Miami fans on message boards and social media when we flipped Byrd? They definitely hate us.

Miami has a lot of things but they aren't SEC and they only have a 9-10 win Coach! Also if I grew up in crime ridden South Florida, I'd want to go somewhere else for the experience. The recruits can always go back there and visit family during breaks.

Knoxville has better Cuban Sammies and black beans anyways! lol

I did but I figured I'd let it slide...those Miami habits probably take some time to change.

"Scott, who has also recruited in North Carolina, New Jersey and Washington, D.C."

he is more than a Fla. connection it seems
