Posted this in another thread: Last night while listening to ESPNU radio, the talking heads were going on about the ESPN article about Barb that released yesterday. (How convenient for the Butch). Can't remember who it was, but one guy said "Currie does not want to fire Butch." Went on about how Butch may force his hand if the team doesn't play better.

As far as the hot-seat goes, I think Jones's days are already numbered. But I think that number might be somewhere around 400. I think there is the financial question and I think there is the image of the coaching carousel that we want to avoid. If they can get someone with a proven record of success that will come in and do the job for a comparatively low salary then Jones could be gone much sooner - as soon as that situation is lined up. (I think the probability of that is quite low.) But otherwise, I expect to see him on the Tennessee sideline for the remainder of this season, and likely the 2018 season.
