Coaches in Bowl Games

How is it determined who coaches a team that loses their coach before their bowl game?
I know some teams name an Interim Coach.. but what about a Cincinnati for example? Does CTT and his new coaches figure in the bowl game? We know for a fact most of those coaches are no longer there....

I am sure the A.D. does if the coach that took them there leaves. Bobby petrio isn't coaching but making an appearance at the Little Caesars Bowl that WKU is in tonight.

I think the AD coaching is only in Wisconsin's case


...or do you mean the AD does make a decision on the matter?

The AD makes the decision. But only if the coach who got them there doesn't coach.

In cincis case Tuberville said to let an assistant finish out the season as coach.
