How in the WORLD is WVU ahead of Louisville. Louisville actually has a win against a decent school (Miami) while WVU beat .,... Miss State.

I was listening to ESPN Radio in the car last night and all the panelists they had on the College Football wrap show about made me crash my car in anger. They all agreed that when Cal beats USC that Cal will jump UT in the polls - if they both stay at one loss. Their excuse is that it was the first game of the season and Cal had a cross country trip to UT. IF they pull that crap and we stay at one loss and Cal beats USC and they pass us I may turn my back on football. USC isn't all that great - I've watched 3 of their last 4 games and they are getting some homer calls to even keep them undefeated - playing so so teams at best.

i wouldnt turn my back on football but i will be writing some nasty letters, the first game of the season is no excuse just like a cross country trip to tennessee THATS FOOTBALL and if your teams not prepared for ITS THEIR fault.....wow pathetic the first game mattersjust as much as the last

ND should not be ranked ahead of UT. Again reward teams for a weaker schedule.

Texas is in a weaker conference, they have played one top 10 team and lost. They shouldn't be ranked ahead of UT either.

Auburn got embaressed by Arkansas, UT lost by 1 point to Florida and UT has had the tougher schedule. Auburn should not be ranked above UT either.

Again, these polls are a joke. I think UT should join the sun belt conference so UT can go undefeated every other year and stake claim to play for the NC. The BCS rewards teams for being in a weak conference and playing a weak schedule.

The polls are based on what has happened between the first game and right now.

Louisville's wins:

Kentucky
Temple
Miami
Kansas State
Middle Tennessee
Cincinnati

West Virginia's wins:

Marshall
E. Washington
Maryland
East Carolina
Miss State
Syracuse

The resumes aren't even close.

Polls should be based on the opinion of the voter. Those voters should weigh actual outcomes more than projected ones, but the fact of the matter is, Louisville lost an important part of their offense for the season in Bush. West Virginia is at full strength. West Virginia should not be punished just because they are just now reaching their conference schedule.

Voters need to use all the things available to them to make educated opinions. In my opinion, West Virginia is a better TEAM than Louisville. The struggles with Cincinnatti yesterday, reafirmed those thoughts for me.

The BCS and polls constantly reward teams for playing weak schedules. They are pathetic. UT needs to look at joining the Sun Belt conference so they can make their claim for playing in the NC every year.

I know it pains you that everyone doesn't agree with ya, but in my mind WV is a better team, period.

We'll all find out soon enough.

That's what I've been saying all along. How about the Big East? I think the Vols could dominate that conference year in and year out.

I cringe when I read that TX is over-rated. However, I wouldn't worry too much about us. By the end of the season, y'alls strength of schedule will nullify any edge we have in the human polls. Win out and TN will finish ahead of TX. Like one poster on this board said last night, you may already be ahead of us in the BCS. Playing AR and LSU certainly won't hurt.

Tennessee WAS ahead of Texas in last week's unofficial BCS.

4 of our 6 opponents to date losing yesterday, took care of that.

Tennessee will be behind Texas today when it comes out.

Hell, difficult conferences aside. Hasn't the SEC lost a shot at the MNC game multiple times because one of its teams lost the SEC Championship game. A luxury that Notre Dame, the Pac-10 and the Big 10 don't even have to worry about....

Exactly, not to mention when one team is able to survive and go undefeated they dont even get to play for an NC. The BCS is a joke.
