In light of what we went through this past off season I feel that this subject needs to be addressed by the NCAA.I feel this has been overlooked to long. The coaches these day are running willynilly the players are the ones who suffer. My suggestion is to make a coach untouchable to another team till the last year of his contract,If they do decide to leave have a two year non-compete. Thoughts?GO VOLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice thought but it will never happen. I do agree it is a problem but non compete agreements would not hold up in my opinion. Would the non compete be for the conference? (still don't think it would hold up)

Touchy subject. Coaches may in turn request that they can't get fired until the last year of their contract. It would also deter coaches from leaving a position coach to be a coordinator or head coach until the right team became available. Take Dooley for example, he may not have left Saban to go to La Tech where he gained valuable experience as a head coach.

Oh don't get me wrong I'm glad x left.as for CDD he went to La Tech from the dolphins thats what I thought I read.My solution to a coach being fired is a buy out.The University must ALWAYS be protected. The coach is not above his employer.
