WRT the coaching staff, don't rule out Kippy Brown. He's seriously considering coming back with CUT (which is done by the way).

I'm not saying it is done deal, but it looks better than I ever thought.

Also, I don't think any of these guys want to coach with TT anymore. Especially the new guys.

Why is that? After all, he seems to have done a real job with Foster this year. I did hear that he and Chavis are apparently at odds?

For one thing, there may not be any room for him. Another reason is that people like Cutcliffe and Kippy Brown don't put up with all of that chest bumpin stuff.

Yeah, mainly I think there is some fruction within the staff and TT is headed west. But we'll see in a week or so maybe.

Not sure exactly. I've heard TEX, A&M, and OKL. It may not be totally accurate, but I've heard it a couple of different places.

LOL Yeah, we're chock full of dignity and seriousness about the game this year.

Cut is far from a done deal. Your source is far off.

Uh...as of yesterday, it was a done deal. And if you knew why I said that, you'd understand.

Is it possible that circumstances would change things? Sure, that's always the case. The deal is done, but not signed.

I'm not trying to act like I'm some insider, but just relaying what I heard after the game today.

I've lobbied for Kippy. However, there are some people out there that have said, he would not come back to a college job.I frankly do not believe that. I think he would come back home in a heartbeat.

That's what I thought too until yesterday - that he was staying put in the NFL.

There appear to be some family reasons why he might consider coming back.

He doesn't know yet. I think a lot will depend on when CUT is officially named and can start assembling his staff.

I am hearing that Cut is a done deal as well. The interesting thing to watch now will be how far Hamilton is willing to open the checkbook. Given the state of affairs, I would say there is sufficient motivation to start adding zeros to the end of checks for the new coaches (and Chavis as well).

Eh, we all have friends.

We may in fact sign Cut but it won't be shortly as many are led to believe.

Those that think everything is "set in stone" are kidding themselves.

Money, Healthy (even though he says it isnt a factor), and other considerations need to be talked through at extent.

I doubt Kippy comes back. It would cost him too much money

If you wanna bring Kippy Brown back--and I'm all for it--it has to be as the HEAD COACH. He's not returning to the college ranks to be an assistant, I wouldn't think, unless he's desperate. Hire him to replace Fulmer--would be OK with me.

That would be an issue, yes.

Also, it may depend on the Texans and D Capers, but I'm just guessing.

I have no idea what will happen, but, from the horse's mouth, it's at least possible.

I heard that Brent Hubbs reported tonight that we have been in talks with Kippy Brown, and that he is considering coming back. Word is the money needs to be right, but that CKB may want to be closer to their family.

Anyone hear what was said? Someone told me about it and it sounded identical to what I was told Saturday.

Trooper should stay. We need people with that kind of intensity on the sideline. No more clappers.

the UT players need a coach not a player to be developing them, Trooper Taylor tries to be a player and thats not how to teach.
