I think Pat Summitt and Candace Parker are gonna set the basketball world on fire. I was so disappointed last season when Candace didn't get to play.

But we STILL beat PUKEONN!!!

3 certainties of life . . . Death, taxes and Pat Summitt at the Final Four.

Summitt

But I also think the football team will be addin' a little sugar to the mix this season.

no reason the softball team should not flourish next yr either, don't know enough about the returning baseball team to make prediction

I said Pat. I mean...who else could you say? Phil has done a tremendous job with the football program at UT, but he hasn't changed the face of College Football. Pat sure has for Women's Basketball.

I have a feeling, with the team we've got next year, no one will be able to stop us. There may be a little bump in the road at LSU, with Augustus, but just a little one. We all know what happens when you're without a great point guard. Us Lady Vol fans know that feeling all too well.

I really hope Bruce has a great year this year. Nothing absolutely fantastic, but a winning record at least. It'll be nice to see the UT Men's Basketball program back on it's feet.

If the basketball program can turn around, we'll have three major programs here. Not to mention, Softball and Baseball. Tennessee will be feared by all. :laugh1:

I went with CPF.
Summit is by far the best thing since the invention of the round ball at UT.

Wouldnt it be sweet!, 3-4 SEC, and NC's this season..
GO VOLS..

I wish! I know Temeka was...a fourteen year senior or something. I swear, she had to have been there six years. She's gone though...we don't have to worry about little Johnson anymore. But...Augustus has one more year.

That's a tough one. Pat always does well and has great young talent coming back. Fulmer, ditto. Delmonico has lost some big guns so I suspect we''' drop back a little next season in America's Game. Pearl doesn't have much to work with, and I believe his team will do well considering

But, the Weakley's will win the NC next year so my vote went to them!

Sorry, I think Tennessee baseball will do well next year but I can't say I'm predicting another CWS appearance. I will, however predict Final Four for Pat, Sugar Bowl for Fulmer and a strong showing at the NIT for Pearl.

I had to go with Coach Fulmer. It was a tough call. Coach Summit is absolutely the best. But after a half a billion years in the final four, it is almost a birth-right. I firmly believe that Coach Summit is the absolute best basketball coach period. But I think Coach Fulmer has a further way to go, therefore, he may have more success. Success is not repeating something you do regularly.

I just can't decide. I think both Pat and Phil will be sucessful, and quite possibly exceed expectations this season. I'll have to think on it a few more days.

Had to go with Pat. EVERTYTHING is in place for the Lady Vols this year!

And Crystal, how do you know so much about the Volunteers and how do you post so articulately? You continue to impress me, girl! :good:

what is meant by success though? winning titles? if so, its hard to go against the weeklys. they finished 3rd in the nation and graduated, if im not mistaken, one player. they return what can be the best pitcher in the nation, and 1 other pitcher that could be all american. they also have the best defense in the nation. of course, pat and phil both have great chances to win sec and ncaa championships.

as for rod and bruce, success should not be measured in wins. if they perform well and get better over the year, i will consider them as having successful years.
