How about Douglas hustling down field, taking on a blocker and saving a TD. That was unbelievable, and one of the bright spots of the game for me.

Was that Arron? I thought it was Cody Douglas. Whoever it was, though, that was the best play of the day.

If we would have held them to a FG and then come back and won, that should have been the play of the year. He hustled his 300 plus pounds way down field and blew up 3 blockers and knocked the guy out of bounds.

If you're talking about the one that was intercepted and the guy was going down the sidelines with 2 blockers........that was Douglas. I'm pretty sure of it anyway.

Help me out on the board. I could have sworn that was Sears. What a play.

Fixed. I had a strange urge to go bowling after watching that play. It would have been even better if our D wasn't offsides and made a 2nd and goal instead of 3rd and 8.

The most critical defensive mistake of the game. I gave them a pass on the pass across the middle that went for big yardage because it was obvious that Wade lost his footing in the rain.

The pursuit angles were lacking, but that is going to happen every now and then. It is a product of making the backers cover receivers all night. What a novel concept.

Hmm, I think that I got my plays mixed up. The defensive offsides hurt us when Stewart chased 83 down didn't it? Oh well, Wade might have had a bad angle on 83, but he could have caught him if not for the slip. He would have had about 15 or 20 yards max.

My bad. I was talking about the offsides on the sack at the three yard line.

That's what I was talking about. Wait, was that the same play? I think that I'm not all there today.

Yeah, ND intercepted and Douglas made the play knocking 3 out. Then ND came on, made the pass to 83 and Stewart chased him down to the 2. Our defense stood them up until the offsides made it 2nd and goal instead of 3rd and 8. That's what happened isn't it? :banghead:

Nah I'll share the blame with ya.

If there is one thing that has bothered me about our great defense, it's the penalties at the worst possible time. That and the 3rd and long. That's two things.
