I saw the AP All-American list came out yesterday.

2021-22 AP All-America teams: Kentucky's Oscar Tshiebwe receives most votes, Big Ten cleans up

What’s wrong with this list? Not a single SEC Champion, #5 in the nation Volunteer made the cut, not even as an honorable mention.

Vescovi should have made it, at least. The disrespect for this team just continues to get worse. I hope they carry this chip all the way to a NCAA championship!

First team
Oscar Tshiebwe, junior, Kentucky
Johnny Davis, sophomore, Wisconsin
Ochai Agbaji, senior, Kansas
Kofi Cockburn, junior, Illinois
Keegan Murray, sophomore, Iowa

Second team
Jabari Smith, freshman, Auburn
Drew Timme, junior Gonzaga
Jaden Ivey, sophomore, Purdue
Bennedict Mathurin, sophomore, Arizona
Chet Holmgren, freshman, Gonzaga

Third Team
Paolo Banchero, freshman, Duke
E.J. Liddell, junior, Ohio State
Collin Gillespie, senior, Villanova
Walker Kessler, sophomore, Auburn
James Akinjo, senior Baylor
JD Notae, senior, Arkansas

Jabari Smith would be on my 1st team.

I LOVE this team but I don’t think we have any all-Americans. Chandler came on really strong 2nd half of the season. Vescovi is definitely an all conference type. Love him to death but he’s not top 15 player in the country imho. Next season JJJ and SV might find themselves in the conversation.

I would have taken Tari Eason over Notae

Also no love for mid majors. David Roddy for Colorado St was dominant. Hopefully we don’t see him.

What is your argument for a Vol being present? Which player listed should be replaced by a Vol?

Thank you. The OR colored glasses are hilarious on some people. We don't have ANYBODY fit for that list. That's one of the great things about this team. It's TEAM w/o a "stop 1 guy" solution to defeat.
I'm hoping that KC, BHH, Aidoo pull the FR coming out party this tourney and look like they shoulda been on the list. I remember players like MJ and Carmelo rocking the tourney as FR to become household names and carry thier teams to titles!

3 stat lines, 2/3 of these guys made the list. I think they are very comparable. And you cannot argue with defensive play that doesn’t necessarily convert to “stats”.

Vescovi could have been 3rd team, all I’m saying.
