So he goes to USC and suddenly becomes the next great thing since sliced bread? I have really refused talking about the idiot, but come on. I am so sick of ESPN's bias!

Maybe they realize that Volnation is one of the most followed fan forums on the internet and they obviously know how much Vol fans hate Kiffin, so they are just stirring the pot. When ESPN has everyone talking about them, good or bad, they win... Same goes for Kiffin.

He left for his dream job. Did he screw us in the process, yes, but he left for his dream job. He will go out there and be a decent coach, win 0 championships, but win 10 games a year in the Pac 10. I can't say I blame the guy for wanting to leave the SEC and coach in the Pac 10 for an already established powerhouse that rules a weaker conference.

We do have to move on though at some point.

It's not really about Kiffin. It's more about the difference of perception from when he was here compared to being at USC. I realize our fan base can get ridiculous with expectations and therefore generate bias by the media. It was not three months ago when they were frying his butt, and now he is bringing positive changes at USC.....

the funny part is this has nothing to do with kiffin and 100% to do with the ncaa breathing down their neck.

The only way he won't win multiple Pac 10 titles is if the NCAA drops the hammer on them or if he leaves USC after one year for the NFL.

That is true. Kiffin has made the practices more physical though.

Have my office hugs his nuts now

Exactly this. Expect a PR blitz from USC like you would from politicians at election time. O and X didn't change, their orders did! USC got a full court press from the NCAA even if they get away with no penalties they are at the razors edge.

I don't have a hatred for CLK like most people on this board do.

However, I thought the Desmond Howard discipline comment was hilarious.

I ran into several USC fans at the Marlins/Dodger games over the weekend and I personally thanked many for taking that idiot and his mercenaries away from us...MOST were not really that happy about getting him back...They are excited about Monte running the defense and love coach O for his recruiting abilities but did not have an high opinion of Kiffin...Most said he hadn't proven anything to even be considered a coach for USC and felt it was a desperate move by the AD...Got a little more respect for some of the fans but I really got a kick out of the UCLA fans that said "Don't worry, We'll kick his a$$ for you guys" lol

most SC fans realize it's an end of an era with carroll leaving and hope this just keeps the train going as long as possible
