Several takeaways: I think we’re better than the Texas Bowl.
Uva vs South Carolina was the Belk Bowl 2 seasons ago. Seems unlikely that will happen again.
Texas A&M in NY6 game seems ambitious.
I don’t know how you pick Bama over Clemson right now with everything Clemson has coming Back.
I do not think UGA is a CFP team with so many unknowns in the offense.

Last thing: The Sugar Bowl is an 8:45 ET kickoff for the nightcap of the CFP? Holy hell thats going to be a late night .

Clemson is only 98th in the country in returning production.

That said, Lawrence is back, and that will go a long way.

The only chance they have to lose is playing at Notre Dame in November at night, but they of course have a bye week before that game.
2021 will be the season the ACC can ambush Clemson however Clemson will at worst only lose 1-2 games in the season after losing Trevor Lawrence and Travis Etienne.

Why do you think 2021 is the season? Losing TLaw (that feels gross typing it) and TE is huge, but they will reload. Maybe UL and FSU will be better, but the Coastal remains a mystery until it isn’t . Maybe UNC will be good with Howell, but I’ll believe it when I see it . Maybe your boys will improve, but we’ll see. Like I said in another thread I hope GT can improve because maybe it can help us indirectly. Obviously, I’m still hoping Duke can be a Bowl team and be a factor in the Coastal, but that’s almost always an unknown.

I think Clemson with a green quarterback will win the ACC once again but may have a fight on their hands to make the Playoffs.

Georgia@Charlotte
South Carolina State
UConn
Boston College
FSU
Georgia Tech
Wake Forest

That UGA game will be a big time showdown. I noticed that you highlighted @State, I’m guessing because State usually gives Clemson a tough game, but I think that they are trending downward. They are missing on some recruits now and not even being considered. Thank goodness we didn’t hire Doeren. The @UL and @Pitt game could be tough. Why does UCONN even play D1 football anymore?

This message board does that to me sometimes and it always does it when I type Kentucky. I think Clemson will in 2021 pound a NCSU team who will have a new head football coach. I think UConn will drop down to FCS in the next 5 years.

A&M literally plays no one this year. As difficult as their schedule was last year, it’s far easier this year. They went 7-5 last year. They replace Clemson and Georgia with Colorado and Vandy. That’s 9-3 minimum IMHO. Plus, they return pretty much everyone as they only had 2 senior starters last year.

State - new HC
Ole Miss - new HC
LSU - New OC, DC, starting QB.
Bama - New starting QB.
Arky - New HC, starting QB.
Auburn - lost the majority of starters on both lines.

When you compare who A&M has coming back and how much everyone else lost, they should be in good condition to win 10 games this year.

I think the Citrus Bowl is a more probable place for a 9-3 or 10-2 Texas A&M team to go. A matchup between Texas A&M and Penn State would be a good game.

If you are Dabo do you play the young qb when you get a big lead or do you pad the stats for TL in hopes of a Heisman, which of course would be good in recruiting? Or is your new qb not on campus yet?

I think you give the backup quarterback a good amount of playing time in the many blowouts that Clemson will have this coming season. I think Trevor Lawrence will still win the Heisman Trophy. I think the future Clemson quarterback will be 2020 5 star signee DJ Uiagalelei.
