The following is from an email sent to UA students in the NWQ and Reid. I figured you guys would like to know where they'd set up shop.

We are very pleased to announce that ESPN College GameDay has chosen the University of Arkansas as a possible broadcast location for Saturday, November 11, 2006. That will be the day the Arkansas Razorbacks host the Tennessee Volunteers. College GameDay offers the most comprehensive view of college football “LIVE” from the middle of the biggest college football circus going. The show is hosted by Chris Fowler, Kirk Herbstreit, and the “always-entertaining” Lee Corso. Why just a possible site? One big condition is that the Razorbacks must BEAT South Carolina this coming Saturday. The actual decision will not be made until Sunday, November 5th.

Between now and decision time, we thought it only fair we let the residents of Reid Hall and the Northwest Quad in on the secret. Why? Because they have chosen your backyard for the broadcast stage! That’s right, the broadcast stage is tentatively planned for parking lot 43, south of Reid and west of the Northwest Quad. Although this will afford you the “best seat in the house”, it will cause some shuffling of parking during their stay on our campus. We’re not going into specifics of the shuffle now so as not to confuse people in case it doesn’t work out. However, if we get GameDay and you have a resident reserved decal for that area, we promise you will still have a reserved space…and it won’t be at Baum Stadium.

Once we beat South Carolina, and know we’re getting GameDay for sure, we’ll send out detailed parking instructions to the uark.edu email address of everyone who is affected. Please check your e-mail often to learn of the final decision and the plans to broadcast one of the most popular college game day shows from your backyard!

i think a lot of this decision depends on the outcome of the TN/LSU game...if we lose, it's no longer a match up of 1 loss teams still vying for a spot in the BCS....

and, the game time for this game won't be decided til Sunday....CBS has exercised it's sunday pick for that week, and if both are 1 loss teams and CBS picks it up....hard to believe ESPN will go to a game that is aired on a rival network. they haven't done it all year. all locals have been at ABC or ESPN night games.

The SC-Arky matchup is going to be very interesting. I kind of assumed that Arky could run it down SC's throat but after seeing SC's defense for the first time last week I'm not so sure. Newton will probably give the Arky defense fits. Vandy has a scrambling QB and they almost beat the Hogs.

SC was my upset pick in the pickems. I'm not convinced yet on Arky, this is their time to show folks...

SC is due to win a game they're not supposed to...this is their best shot at it i think.
