Personally don't give a rats behind. However, if they come to Knoxville I hope Fowler gets a few Bronxs cheers and several "I love my trailer" remarks. I don't know how Kirk Herbstreit can stomach those other two freaks.

If we move up into the top 10 this weekend after the polls come out they could come to Knoxville, but don't forget there is also a lot of other games on that weekend that are Gameday worthy.....Auburn and LSU that I know of.....Nebraska and Oklahoma....and some other games.....I'd say they'll go to which ever game has the most influence on the national championship

hmanvolfan, I'm with you on Kirk Herbstreit....I couldn't stomach going to work every Saturday morning knowing I had to spend all day with Chris Fowler and Lee Corso.....I'd break all Corso's #2 pencils

Funny you all mention that. After the Gameday at the Tennessee-Florida game in Knoxville when we got "Gaffney'd", I stayed over with a group of mostly Florida fans over to the side of the Gameday Set. Corso and Fowler ran straight back into Thompson Bolling Arena, Herbstreet came over to sign autographs and talk briefly with everyone. I told him that I appreciated him not letting his bias, affect his job as an analyst and for being so fair with our Vols and that he was my favorite. His reply was, "You don't know how hard it is working with these guys sometimes. Keep your head up, this Tennessee team is talented, and those players are gonna win a lot of games."

That made me respect him even more.

Fowler and Corso might not be nice to the Vols they are fairly nice to the SEC. As a conference we get the most respect.

They actually go to SEC games a pretty good bit.

because they cant avoid it. there are some great match ups during the year. they would have gone to 3 SEC sites last year but only ended up going to 2 because of the rescheduling of the UT/LSU game.

2005

* September 3: Notre Dame at #23 Pittsburgh
* September 10: #2 Texas at #4 Ohio State
* September 17: #8 Florida State at #16 Boston College
* September 24: #15 Georgia Tech at #4 Virginia Tech (GameDay was originally scheduled to be in Baton Rouge, Louisiana for the #10 Tennessee at #3 LSU game, but was forced to move due to the approach of Hurricane Rita. The Tennessee-LSU game was postponed until Monday, September 26.)
* October 1: #1 USC at #14 Arizona State
* October 8: #6 Ohio State at #16 Penn State
* October 15: #1 USC at #9 Notre Dame
* October 22: #10 Texas Tech at #2 Texas
* October 29: #4 Georgia at #16 Florida
* November 5: #5 Miami at #3 Virginia Tech
* November 12: #5 LSU at #4 Alabama
* November 19: #5 Penn State at Michigan State
* November 26: Bayou Classic: Southern University vs. Grambling at Houston, Texas (Game moved from New Orleans, Louisiana to Houston due to Hurricane Katrina; this marked the first time that GameDay was live from a game involving two Historically Black Colleges and Universities)
* December 3: #11 UCLA at #1 USC
* January 4, 2006: Rose Bowl: #2 Texas vs #1 USC

The year before that, they were at 6 SEC games (including the Sugar Bowl) and would have been at a 7th except for inclement weather at LSU.

I guess they alternate depending on which announcer wants to go where. Herbstreit's year must have been 2004 haha.

They should go to auburn or come to knoxville.

Yeah, I remember that but that won't happen again this year, and that year it wasn't even a touchdown they just got a lucky call.....I think Lee Corso and Chris Fowler kinda have something going on with one another.....I can't wait til we take out Air Force tonight, then next weekend take down the so-called "Mighty Gators"....I've heard it all week this week, and will hear all week next week and I'm ready to shut them up....GO VOLS

Curious: What is our record when GameDay comes to Knoxville or TN games in general? I would think not good, so I say "Stay away."

Speaking of Gameday being at the UT-OSU game. I know the state of Texas is big on high school football, but why does that mean the Longhorns have to play in a high school stadium?

LOL allvol. Did you see how much tickets for the Texas-OSU and Penn St. - ND games were. :eek:hmy: Outrageous!

Yes I did see that, outrageous. But when you play in stadiums with a seating capacity of crap, lack of supply drives the prices up.:)

no way they go to USC-Neb; OU@oregon would be more likely

The game will be in South Bend for Mich/ND
