I hear you, but I don't think he had the game to back up his talk. He most certainly was not as good as he thought he was. I know this is probably not the best comparison, but imagine if Victor Bailey Jr has no concept of a red light in shooting the 3, he wants to take as many shots as possible, plus he's a huge dickhead - that's pretty much the actual bball value that Henderson had imo. Now it obviously worked for Ole Miss to an extent, but it's hard to imagine that they wouldn't have done better with a more balanced game plan.

I can respect your opinion, but Henderson was 2X 2nd team all-SEC, SEC newcomer of the year and the SEC Tourney MVP. Plus, he was a JUCO transfer, so he only played 2 years.

I think his point was that had he been more of a team guy instead of a “me” guy, Ole Miss would have been better. No doubt he was very talented, but definitely a head case.

I get that, but he won a SEC Tourney and the MVP for Ole Miss ! Hell, UT hasn't won the SEC Tourney since '79, iIrc. So, in other words, he was enough of a team guy to help his team win the Tourney and make the Big Dance

There were some claiming CM was doing a good job here. He was mediocre who went on a lucky run one tournament. He bailed after 3 years at multiple programs for the next payday. It had nothing to do with UT or the fans. It's that he knew his useful life was about 3 years or the jig was up. This is the longest he's been at a program and he doesn't have any more cards to pull if he can't get it done.

The only ones who think CM did a good job here are claiming Barnes isn’t doing enough.
