College Hoops Around The Country [TN opponents, RPI, others]

That could really come back to bite UK if they don’t get it done in conference play. Some mock brackets have them on the bubble or even out of the tournament. They need a marquee win.

Yeah this is another scenario where Cal’s refusal to build a good OOC schedule each year can crush them. You lose to a bad team like Notre Dame and all of a sudden you’re scrambling to get a Q1 win.

UK's roster is too good to be end up as a bubble team. If they are a bubble team then I'm convinced Cal had a long lucky streak with many once in a generation players.

Iona/Seton hall cancelled and now this BS. Can we not regress? It's absolutely insane how we keep having to cancel these games.

I believe reports are suggesting Omicron is 70 times more contagious than Delta, which was already extremely contagious. I believe we are already seeing the effect of that with so many positive tests everywhere, but next few weeks/months are gonna be bumpy. Lots of people gonna be getting Covid. More than any single point yet is my guess.

Notable Games Friday Night:

(8--2) St. Bonaventure at (7-4) Virginia Tech 4:00pm ESPN2
(7-4) Furman at (7-3) Mississippi State 7:00pm SECN
#9 (7-3) Villanova at (8-3) Creighton 8:00pm FS1
(10-2) Saint Mary's at (7-3) San Diego State

St. Bonny vs VT and Nova vs Creighton should be very good games.

Calipari’s philosophy finally caught up to him.

He has great talent but now, a lot of teams have similar, if not better talent.

His coaching has been pretty poor so far this year and the fans are getting sick of it.

That lifetime contract might have come back to bite the university in the a$$.

Seems like Cal has changed his philosophy somewhat. Used to get a group of elite freshmen and tried to gel before March. Took some transfers this season (had a few in the past but not like this year) but they’re still trying to gel because of all the new faces.

And Duke scheduled a new game with Northwestern because their game against Loyola-Maryland got cancelled. It's a mess. And it's dumb.
Wait, their game against Loyola got canceled too?? Didn't THAT game get scheduled because Duke had to cancel their previously scheduled game against another opponent already? Goodness lol

Yeah, really not trying to start a political discussion here, but sport leagues are going to either have to acknowledge Covid as being endemic at this point and not bar those exposed from playing, or many of them are about to go on an extended pause, else the integrity of the seasons are going to be comprised

Idk if you even need to schedule. Think you can just show up to CVS. That’s what I’m gonna do

Unless this has changed, you do have to schedule your appointment through the CVS website. They had plenty of time slots available, and I was in and out in about 20 minutes. Pretty painless process, arm was a bit sore the rest of the day and slightly fatigued.
