So stupid. It's time to change the policy. You can't punish a team for testing positive anymore. It's pure lunacy we haven't adapted to this change in the public health landscape. For all we know, Seton Hall could be fully vaccinated. How can you punish them for being unlucky?

Not to even mention the fact that unless the rule is changed, if these "forfeits" pile up, it will have a disastrous impact on the official NET Rankings, and at that point how do you effectively seed teams when your own NCAA metric is now biased and flawed?

Nova looking really over rated against Creighton. Making their way out of the top 10.

They have been making a living off a single win over Tennessee.

sure they have “played” some other tough teams……but they have also “lost” them.

They have beaten no one really other than Tennessee.

I believe reports are suggesting Omicron is 70 times more contagious than Delta, which was already extremely contagious.

But much less serious. I don't believe anyone has died of it yet anywhere in the world. If it's impacts are mild, and people will not get hospitalized, it's crazy to be cancelling scheduled events.

It still is considered that

Yeah, it's still a Q1 loss, but Villanova is starting to show that their lack of depth might be their kryptonite. I'm not sure what will happen, but there is definitely a scenario where they aren't a Top 25 team soon, and that loss looks less shiny if it's to an unranked Villanova instead of a Top 10 Villanova. There is still a human element in the selection process, and I don't think it's wrong to state they will value the loss less if Villanova doesn't turn out to be great by March.

I was simply referring to the definition of a “good loss”, it is still that and likely will remain that, even if they aren’t Top 25.

Calipari’s philosophy finally caught up to him.

He has great talent but now, a lot of teams have similar, if not better talent.

His coaching has been pretty poor so far this year and the fans are getting sick of it.

That lifetime contract might have come back to bite the university in the a$$.

This happens every year.

Young team of Cal’s struggles early, everyone laughs and thinks it is the end of Cal, then next thing you know it’s March and they’ve won an SEC title in the regular season or tourney.

Maybe, but Covid affected everyone. It can't be a crutch for Calipari, exclusively.

Fair, but considering how he runs his program we saw the top schools that recruit mostly freshmen really struggled moreso than other school. (Duke struggled mightily as well and they look fine this year).

Considering the current NET rankings and the lack of big wins by the SEC in the non-conference, we really need this Arizona game to happen on Wednesday now. It would be a huge, resume-defining win.

Probably starts today. I see them blowing Hubies's doors off.

Welp, UNC getting obliterated in the first. They've made 6 FGs and have been out rebounded 25-12(UK with 11 offensive boards). Still 3 to go in the half. Really going to need that W against Arizona next week.

And Kentucky finishes off UNC. That with our situation and Villanova and Texas Tech losses makes for a real sucky day for Tennessee basketball

With a forfeit at stake more teams are going to considering played masked, even if they’re vaccinated and boosted.
