College Hoops Around The Country [TN opponents, RPI, others]

How do you get 28 rebounds in a game this day and age? Good grief.

I might have to watch the replay of that one
Tshiebwe has a motor and always finds a way to be right there where the ball is coming off the rim. He’s impressive to watch rebounding wise. His offensive game lacks a bit, but when you can rebound like he can you’ll score.

NCAA Bracketology -- Projecting the 2022 March Madness men's field

Looks like Joe Lunardi thinks we will be the automatic qualifier from the SEC and be a 3 seed. If we win the conference we will be nothing less than a 2 seed with the number of quality opponents we will have faced. I think we would have to be a 1 seed if that happens.

I sure hope he is right about us being the automatic qualifier, but I just don’t see it with how deep this conference is. But, I’m a known skeptic haha.

Also, automatic qualifier means we win the SEC Tourney not necessarily the regular season which might be why he has us at a 3-seed if that happens. I think the SEC having a weak-showing in the non-conference is part of the reason you won’t have an SEC team be a 1-seed.

Baylor is a lock. The ACC sucks so Duke have a cakewalk to the 1-seed. So that really only leaves two-spots and with the WCC actually being half-decent this year, Gonzaga will inevitably get the 1-seed after they roll through the conference despite the somewhat poor showing (by their standards) in the non-conference.

Yeah, that is a bit odd. But, remember, the AQ is the conference tournament winner, so perhaps he thinks that we take some lumps in our early conference schedule, finish around 11-7, but gain momentum towards March and adage to win the SECT as the hottest team in the SEC, finishing somewhere around 24-9 or 23-10. With that record, I'd find it hard to place us above the 3 line, despite our SOS.

I have a feeling the NCAA will give Duke the easiest path to a Final Four considering this is Coach K’s last year.

Bracketology in December is no more than Dollartology. Lunardi can no more pick the SEC automatic bid in December than my dog.

Wow today more games were not played (postponed or canceled) than were.

I seriously hope we’re not seeing a trend.

I guess things “should” improve (I’m hopeful) over the next couple of weeks.
