College Hoops Around The Country [TN opponents, RPI, others]

Jay Bilas stated in his opinion the SEC is the best conference in the country during the LSU UK game. High praise coming from an ACC guy.

Vandy almost blew a 5-point lead with 20 seconds to play. Arky missed a FT to tie with 15 seconds left, then Vandy missed both FTs with 9 seconds to play. Arky got a look from 5 feet that was blocked and an open 3 with 1 second to play.

Didn’t think we’d be talking about the possibility of Arkansas missing the tournament but it’s moving in that direction.

I’m not sure which is the bigger shocker at this point, Michigan or Arkansas. Both pre-season Top 10 and both out of the tournament probably at this moment.

Gotta be Michigan, who is barely a .500 team, right now. Arkansas is still 10-4, but with a couple bad losses, now.

Yeah, true. But, Michigan played some decent non-conference teams if I remember correctly. Arkansas has a deceptive record because they played no one. They were like either 8-1 or 9-0 after a bunch of cupcakes and have tanked the past two weeks.

This is further proof that playing cupcakes does nothing for your team. I will go a step farther and say it might even create more bad habits than improvement. Teams that take this approach pay the price in more ways than one.

I think Michigan didn't face any ranked teams other than St. Bonaventure (at the time), UNC, and Arizona, and each beat them.

That was Rutgers first win ever over Michigan. Wtf? And I think Stackhouse first SEC road win. The parity is crazy in men's basketball.
ESPN shows that candy beat miss state in starkvegas last year. But the headline from yesterday's game said candy broke some kind of streak but does not mention it in the write up.
