College Hoops Around The Country [TN opponents, RPI, others]

The blatant goaltend by Mizzou not called at the end of the game really summarizes the day for us. Nothing going right. Tough loss.

That was not a blatant goal tend. Questionable, maybe. But not clear-cut. Especially in real time. And that still would have only cut it to 5 points with under 12 seconds to play, and Mizzou's ball.

21-67 shooting, and 2-20 from 3. That summarizes the game for UK.

Everyone but Diallo and Knox will stay based off current projections (although Diallo is way overrated). I think we might have one transfer though who might surprise people.

I think you're crazy if you believe Gilgeous-Alexander stays. Currently projected as a lottery pick. He's gone, bub. It wouldn't shock me to see Vanderbilt go, too.

Transfer wouldn't be Kileya-Jones, would it?

But Kentucky’s RPI is more important to the vols than Missouri’s is. Mizzou is still easily a Q1 game for us

I see it as pretty neglible. UK is more of a threat to us in the SEC standings, so root for them to lose. Their RPI won't suffer much for it.

You’re right it is pretty negligible. I guess I’m aiming high. If we’re competing w Kentucky on the seed line then it’s probably because we’ve dropped. Right now we have a shot at a 3, and I want every advantage over the competition which could be slim - especially if it impacts site selection. And the difference between Nashville and Dallas/Wichita or worse

Not saying that call was a game-changer or why. I'm just saying UK not getting the call was symbolic of a day where the ball just didn't bounce their way in a variety of ways.

And yes. Terrible offense.

I saw where he's been climbing. It's hard for me to believe he's a lottery talent. I guess he might go if he got great feedback at the combine, but from what I was told he's not even considered it at any point.

I feel like Vanderbilt could (and maybe should) go. He definitely is talented enough. But he's only just returned from injury and I'm not sure he wants to leave just yet. Another Diallo type situation over the summer.

I have been pretty positive all season, but I am calling it. Elite 8 for the Vols.

I honestly think that no matter where they lose it will be a disappointment. This is a top 5 team in the country right now...we weren’t there earlier, but there ain’t nobody in the country wants TENNESSEE!

Go VOLS!!!!!!!!!

He's been the most consistent player on the team, IMO. Knox is the best talent (reminds me of Tobias Harris, actually), but SGA has been more consistent. He is #11 on nbadraft.net right now.

FWIW, Diallo is overrated, IMO.

Oh he definitely has. It's funny, because the season started everyone dismissed Calipari saying SGA might start. But he's been a shockingly good finisher at times. Good defender with all the physical tools for the next level. #11 is crazy high. I really hope he stays haha.

And yes, Diallo is really overrated. Forgot he was even on the team the last few weeks.

Ohio State has suspended one of their starters for violation of team rules, they’re one of the teams Tennessee is competing with in rankings and seed lines so could be something to watch.
