College Hoops Around The Country [TN opponents, RPI, others]

Following his team's 77-54 loss to Louisville, Georgia Tech head coach Josh Pastner took time in his postgame press conference to deny that he sexually assaulted a woman in February 2016.

"There is zero, zero, zero, zero, zero, zero truth to any of those disgusting, bogus allegations," Pastner said, courtesy of Eric Crawford of WDRB. "It's disgusting. And there's zero, zero, zero, zero, zero, zero, zero, zero, zero, zero, zero truth to that.

"I believe in principle. I believe in character. I live my life that way, and I've done that from the very beginning."

Lol.

In all seriousness we need to be way ahead of them if we want to get a higher seed and better location. We know the committee is going to over value them
And they beat us. It doesn't even need to be a Debate

UNC has a more difficult remaining schedule. So good to beat Duke now before going back to Cameron for the last game of the year

Everyone who has ever been in power is now going to get accused of this sort of thing.

I think the talk of us getting that 1 seed will help push us up in the polls. I just want to win at bama. We always play like dog mess down there.

Is this the consensus? So far Auburn, Duke and Arizona have lost this week, but I'm not convinced that's enough to get us into the top ten (even with a win at Alabama).

I think we'll be close.

St. Mary’s and Gonzaga play Saturday so obviously one of them is going to lose...I’m not sure we jump Auburn(assuming they win Saturday), and I doubt we hurdle Duke(assuming they win Sunday)...so as of right now I think with a win against Alabama we would move ahead of Arizona and loser to the St. Mary’s/Gonzaga game, so at least up to 13.

However even if that is the case, it will continue to jumble up teams with 4&5 losses, next week we could very well go 2-0, do that while these same teams drop another one and we could make a big move.

Ah, I didn't realize St. Mary's and Gonzaga were playing this weekend - good call. We should absolutely be in front of the loser if we get a win on Saturday. I agree about Auburn and Duke. I think we'll be right behind both (again, with a win at Alabama).

It looks like Kansas plays at Baylor tomorrow as well. Baylor has been very inconsistent, but they played Kansas close in Lawrence, and Kansas has been up and down this year as well. I wouldn't be shocked to see Baylor win.

If things play out right, I could see us being #11 or #12 on Monday.

Yup, you’ve also got Iowa @ Ohio State and Texas Tech @ Kansas State, and then on Sunday Duke @ Georgia Tech so if either of those teams lost I think we would move ahead of them...so I think we would be guaranteed at least 13 and could go as high as 10 or 11.
