College Hoops Around The Country [TN opponents, RPI, others]

UNC is refusing to accept an NIT bid. Jack wagons. Michigan. Florida. Vandy. OK State. Oregon. Colorado. Washington State. Va Tech. Clemson. Nova. Wisconsin. Cincy. Rutgers. Seton Hall. They are disappointed as well. But they aren’t disrespecting the game.

Yeah, I'd much rather watch teams that have some kind of incentive. I was frustrated with this year's Carolina team, but they weren't going to play to put up a NIT banner with the Final Four and national championship banners. Plus, they wouldn't have tried to win. Speaking of the NIT,and I know it's the NIT and Vanderbilt, but they're putting it to Yale. Hey,it's basketball to pass the time until tommorow.

There are 2 NCAA games tonight.

Pittsburgh and Mississippi St was a fun first half. I picked the winner of this game to pull the upset in the 1st round. I thought it would be Pitt, but I like both teams a little. I wish we had Tolu Smith

Wisconsin at Oregon will be an interesting NIT quarter final game in an hour. I don’t think that I can look at that messed up court for 40 minutes though.

I can't watch a game on that court. It's awful. I guess I could tough it out and then go see an eye doctor afterward if we played out there.

May is here to stay.
Florida Atlantic announces 10-year contract extension with head men's basketball coach Dusty May.
Meh. There are no open P6 jobs so he pretty much is stuck there for now. All this means is that FAU will get a bigger buyout check from somebody when he leaves. It’s a smart business move on their part.

The extension means nothing, what’s the buyout and did it change? That’s what matters

“Source: South Florida's Amir Abdur-Rahim will hire former East Tennessee State head coach Desmond Oliver as an assistant. Joins William Small and Ben Fletcher on staff, who both worked with Abdur-Rahim at Kennesaw State.”

Why can’t we have him back? 😭😭😭

Lmao, so many bashed him when he was here and wanted him gone, now we want him back?

For a certain subset of boosters, it's more important that they exert power than have the team succeed. What better way of putting the administration in their place than to hire back the guy they fired for leaving egg on their face?

Stackhouse may be headed to the Pistons.

He is intriguing as a NBA coach. The Pistons have already requested to talk to Charles Lee.

By the way, and I admittedly biased, but Charles Lee would be an excellent college head coach, but I suspect we will never find out because a NBA head coach job appears in his future.
