What exactly was the rule that kept him from making the proper call? Anyway....sounds like some things need to be fixed..this makes me feel sorry for the guy.

The story gets more convoluted every time a revelation is made. It was known early on that he only had one bad angle to view the play from.

Either way, the result of this game isn't getting changed. Riese has been through enough grief over the call already, the issue needs to be solved behind closed doors and everybody needs to move on.

I think which team has posession, whether it is on a fumble, kick, or reception, is a judgement call and therefore can't be reviewed.

Replay is a good idea; the execution could use some revision.

That's also true... It's still young in college football. It will take a couple years to get a smooth system running. The NCAA needs to make uniform rules for D-IA instant replay.
