With the coaching and returning talent the Lady Vols have, it's hard to believe there are 39 teams better than they are.
We've been saying that for years, and this team isn't as talented as some of Holly's.

The press has stopped giving Tennessee the benefit of a doubt because of the name) history, and making them go earn it. The write up suggests that the author believes they can finish higher than they are starting.

Holly's lack of interest in offense did the LV's national brand in....Defense and rebounds is all she cared about.....The modern game had passed that philosophy by many years ago...

Have to earn their way back in to national prominence...

Nice Article. The one thing though this writer does not know is each player and what have they done to raise there game and make this years team better especially with so many returners. Case in Point. I read an article about Kasi and her commitment to be the absolute best player she can be and it all started with Conditioning and Strength. She has lost weight added strength and now has her Mile time right at 8mns down from 10+. She really can make this team better and compete as a Top 20 Program this year. I am not sure about others hopefully all of them were just as committed. In CHRST Alone.

It's interesting the article says this: "With their top four scorers returning, the Vols should remain consistent, but this time they may be able to consistently beat some of the better teams in the SEC."...and yet, has them predicted to finish 8th in the SEC after finishing in a 4-way tie for 3rd last year.

4 way tie for 3rd, but 6th-7th place considering tiebreakers, so not a huge stretch.

I'm guessing that SC, MSST, UK, TAMU (assuming their waivers are approved), and Arkansas are ahead of them in these rankings. I'm curious who the other two are (maybe LSU and Missouri?).

Zaay also tore her ACL right before the 3rd game of the season. I wonder if pushing it is even worth it for her? It wasn’t like she got to be on campus with a trainer or rehab person all summer so i wouldn’t be surprised if she was behind in rehab. Wishing her the best but with the way things shut down during March, April, and May i just can’t see her getting the level of rehab she would have any other summer to be ready to go. But here’s hoping !!

Zay is currently practicing with the Aggies and their hasn't been a declined waiver so far this year. A&M Just got immediate elgibility for Pitts a player who played more than Zay last season and left on her own due to attitude issues with Whalen. I think Zay's chances are pretty good if a waiver was filed.

Cool...well here’s hoping she is healthy and she has gotten herself together. Being closer to home has probably helped.
