Miami to the losers bracket...tough road for the Canes now, you never want to lose the first one

Recent Cubs drafted threw a complete game shutout.

Arizona pitcher struck out 11 canes. Miami still had a few good chances. Elimination game Tuesday afternoon.

I don't know if he was drafted or not but that pitcher for Zona threw a lot of pitches tonight

Can't believe O'Sullivan is going to use Puk in a relief role in game 1.

Edit: looks like it's just for 1 batter. Hoping to get the 3rd out.

Why is this event, and other baseball events like it, including our MLB championship, called the "World Series." It is totally lame. It's the College World Series--except that there is absolutely nothing international about it. Typical American hubris: Let's give our baseball championships this grand name--world series--though it has absolutely no basis in reality.

You make a good point but what else would you want to call these games? Maybe just "MLB Championship Series" or the "College World Series" be called "College Championships"? I don't know myself. Can't think of anything better to call them but I get what you're saying.

Toronto won the MLB World Series that's why it's international
