Colonial Athletic Association Championship: VCU vs Drexel

Not sure how/if this effects UT at all. While VCU is part of that first four out, Drexel looks as though only to be listed as a predicted "in" through expecting to win their conference tournament....it may well just be a wash and whoever loses drops out of the tournament conversation.

We want VCU to win. I think they'd be in as an at-large if they lost, so you don't want the CAA to steal a bid.

Lunardi is nuts for not including Drexel. I can't imagine they get overlooked some Selection Sunday. If DU comes back and wins, VCU has probably played themselves in too. No way the committee takes Northwestern and Xavier over Drexel. Texas doesn't deserve the spot either, but I don't know how the committee will look at them. This game couldn't have went worse for Tennessee IMO, JMHO, TIFWIW, GBO, VFL!

The four or five highest-ranked teams left out (RPI-wise) each of the last six years have all been mid-majors. Wouldn't surprise me a bit if Northwestern gets in over a Drexel or Iona.

The CAA has more than proven its worth the past few years though and the committee know that as well. I'm calling it. Lunardi is wrong. With the way this game has gone, the CAA likely has two teams in on Sunday.

I'm hopeful for that as a big mid-major fan and just because they have a much higher upside than your Northwesterns of the world. I'm not too confident, though.

Northwestern shouldnt be in imo. They are 1-7 against ranked teams and didnt play a good outside conf. schedule

If Northwestern beats Minnesota and Michigan this weekend, then I think I at least wouldn't be pissed about them making the field. If they only beat Minnesota, they better be in the NIT.

I freaking love college basketball. These 2 games in OT right now have been incredible.

I don't know how VCU blew that 16 point lead. They are lucky to get the win.
