Colorado to Pac 10

The coach said it's possible the Pac-16 would push for two automatic bids to the BCS, one for each division champion. That potential bonanza could open the possibility of the two division champs from one league playing for the national title, and it would eliminate the need for a conference championship game.

"The Pac-10 doesn't believe in a championship game," the coach said. "And coaches in the Big 12 don't like it anyway."

How is that fair? If the Big 10 and SEC add four more teams, will they both get 2 BCS bids too?

This and the nebraska moves are step 1 in the dissolution of the Big 12...

Man...I'm loving this day...it has to be one of the worst in the life of one Lane Kiffin...

The NCAA lays the hammer down on USC and the first dominos fall for Texas and Oklahoma to move to the Pac-10...

There's goes Kiffy's cakewalk to national prominance...

What a nightmare for our former douchebag of a coach

Is there any chance TX-OK would go east to the SEC or is that ruled a pipe dream now?

I'm starting to see this Hat's way. Big 12 just adds a couple of equal or better quality replacements and moves on.

doesn't look like that is going to happen. texas rivals site says they have already informed their coaches they are switching to the pac10

it's ridiculous. also why give up the money for the championship game?

I thought one of the virtues of this was that conference championship games would serve as a "playoff" elimination round.

If I'm a competing conference of at least 14 teams there's no way I agree to the PAC 10 getting 2 automatic BCS berths.

I find it funny that the Big 12 was considered a prestigious conference, but when a crappy team and average team bails they have no way to stop the bleeding.

For now, can we officially call the Big Ten the "Big 12" and the Big 12 the "Big Ten?"

That's a pretty stupid statement about the Pac-10 not "believing" in championship games.....if you didn't believe in them then you shouldn't be expanding to 16 teams. They had to know a championship game would pretty much be a requirement.

I can't see any of the other conferences agreeing to giving them 2 BCS spots. They will all likely say have a championship game or flip a coin, whatever you want to do, but you're getting one automatic spot.
