Both the Colts and Saints have had some lucky wins. Based on the remaining games both teams have left, who is the likely to lose a game next?

Colts.

Denver at home is will be tough, and then they go on the road to Jacksonville, who is fighting for a Wild Card spot.

Saints are at Atlanta and then host Dallas.

It's going to be tough for both teams to stay undefeated the next two weeks.

I don't see either making it much longer. They're gearing up for the playoffs and just need to wrap up homefield before shutting it down a bit

It's hard to get to 12-0 in the NFL without some luck.

The next 2 weeks are probably the best 2 chances to beat both teams. Indy has Denver and @Jax, and NO has @Atlanta and Dallas. After that the Colts have NY Jets and @Buffalo, and NO has Tampa and @Carolina.

To be honest, they both could loss any of the 4. You never know, the Saints almost lost to a bad Redskins team today. Both teams have 2 of their 4 teams still fighting for the playoffs, and both have 2 teams that will likley be fighting for spoiler.

I just don't see either team shutting it down as long as they keep winning. That seemed to bite the Colts in 2005. If both make it to 14-0 and have everything wrapped up, I'd say they both still keep going as usual like NE did in 2007.

The Saints may have to win out to get home field. And even if they do need to shut it down, their last two games are against Carolina and Tampa, who could be put away by half.

Indy, on the other hand, may be able to lock up home field next week.

Short answer: Almost zero chance Indy runs the table, while Saints I honestly believe it's likely they will, and out of necessity.

Another thing to consider, the Colts have a short week because the Jax game is on Thursday night. That's pretty rough.

I just don't see Colts going 16-0, we just about have homefield wrapped up and Caldwell will probably start shutting down anyone who has any kind of injury. The only way we go undefeated is if Sorgi can win us 2 games.

Sorgi has been hurt for a while, if I remember correctly. I wouldn't mind seeing what Curtis Painter has to offer.

You are right, I think Painter has been the #2 the last few weeks. From what I saw from the preseason he looked pretty good.

If Painter didn't play on an awful Purdue squad his senior year, I think he could've been a 1st day draft choice. The team was average his junior year, and he put up huge numbers.

I'd like to see Painter do well. I played high school basketball against him, and he's a good dude. He dunked on me my senior year (in all fairness, we were in a zone and I had to rotate down to the block-- he snuck behind the zone and they threw an oop to him), so we're connected in that way, LOL.

Painter has the physical tools (unlike Sorgi). Learning from Peyton might help Painter to land a starting job someday.

Yea, yea, yea. Don't try making excuses, he threw it down on you. Just kidding, that would be a badge of honor.

I think he does have plenty of physical tools and you are right playing behind Peyton and learning from him will be great for him down the road, here or somewhere else. I hope here though.

LOL... Painter has about 4 inches on me, and I'm not going to lie, he threw it down pretty hard.

Assuming Peyton plays for 18 seasons, that gives him another 6 seasons after this year. That means if the team decides to keep around Painter instead of Sorgi, Painter would get a chance to start in his 8th season with the Colts (he'd be about 31 years old, I think).

I'd say the Colts will also draft a QB in the 1st round once they know Peyton is leaving, unless they are VERY comfortable with where Painter is at.

Yea he probably won't be here if he is a really good player. But who knows.
