OUCH!!!!

Is it really that big of a deal.

I know the linebacking corps has been decimated the past few years by free agency but Morris and Brackett are serviceable.

Looks like the first round pick will either be a top notch LB or DT.

Precisely. Losing these guys is not a big deal. I agree with OrangeEmpire (a first, I might add) that the Colts should be looking at LB or DT in the first round of the draft.

If a good DB falls in their lap, however, they should snap him up.

June's game against the Jaguars was pathetic at best. No wonder Indy hardly made an attempt to re-sign him.

Clark took Stokely's job, so that isn't a problem. With Utecht, Fletcher and Moorehead playing he will not be missed.

James Mungro will do just fine in the backup spot for the Colts. Addai will wear out teams.

Harper stings because he was underrated

I agree..

Do they still have Manning? Yep.

Then everything will be fine.

it is a little disconcerning when you look at what the pats have been doing this off season...the question you have to ask yourself, is did your team get better? and right now, while those losses are HUGE, have they gotten better as a result??? not really.

Homeless Bill is loading up for his final year in New England though.

given who they have signed thus far, it looks like he may go out with a bang.......they still have two 1st round picks in this year's draft keep in mind.

when it's all said and done, everyone will be praising the almighty patriots for what they were able to accomplish this off season and will be everyone's favorite to win the super bowl.

They should be favorites. thomas will become the next Bruschi up there. I'd say either Gaffney or Caldwell has played their last game as a Patriot. If they get any serviceable DBs in the draft, they'll be damn near unbeatable. And it pains me to type this.

Sadly, I don't think a lot of those guys will do much for their new teams. Stokely wasn't much of a threat, except for one year with Indy. Cato June is too small to be a linebacker in most systems. I'm not really familiar with the Bucs. If they still run the defense Dungy installed, then obviously he'll be OK. Nick Harper was okay, but not irreplaceable. I'd say the same for Rhodes. He had some good moments, but I don't see him being much of a force for Oakland. I still can't forget the time in the playoffs when Bruschi took the ball from him like he was a child. Unfortunately, I feel like losing June and Rhodes will be more hurtful for the Colts than it will be helpful for their new teams.

Addai was very strong this year, so Rhodes doesn't seem that bad. Maybe they can get another RB to help Addai.

At least Manning restructured his deal so maybe next year they will have some cap space. It looks like they will keep Freeney so that is good.

this off season just deepens my hate for the Pats

Why? Because they've gotten better by being smart with the cap while the Colts have been handcuffed by it?

Yes, I was hoping they would go away after the AFC title game much like the Pistons did after the Bulls beat them. Now it looks like I might have to watch the short sleeve hoody and Shawn Kemp in more Super bowls

I doubt it, it would be almost impossible to beat the ladies T.B. has been with. You would think as wealthy as he is they would be on every birth control under the sun. I guess just because you have money doesn't mean you remember to take your little pill before bed every night :)

Birth control isn't 100% effective. Plus, if a lady is on antibiotics, the birth control pill won't have it's desired effect.
