Comcast - Redzone

I talked to a guy with Comcast today, and he said that by the start of the NFL season, a new channel called Redzone will be available to anyone with the Sports Package. Basically, it is supposed to show any NFL game when a team has the ball in the Redzone and it will show multiple games at the same time if needed. Take it FWIW.

So, my cable box says to call 1-800-Comcast to get this channel with the sports entertainment package. I already have that package. Where is this channel???

Anyone know what channel it is in chattanooga?....or at least, what's the channel abbreviation comcast uses for it on their guide?

Do you have the sports tier on comcast chattanooga?

Also, there is no programming on that channel until the nfl games start on sunday. The rest of the time there is nothing on there.

I believe we do. All the sports channels from 700 and up are open (save PPV) including conference networks, ESPNU is also there, the several other fox sports networks, and we even had NFL network before Comcast made it part of their normal cable package.

By no programming / nothing, does the channel just disappear in between Sundays ,or do you mean it's still accessible but there's no programming being shown or it's off air?

Right now, if I punch 743 on my remote, I see only Black. I do see the channel indicator that says Rzone...

I'm at work, so that's from memory..

I love this channel, for us in Middle Tennessee who don't like the Titans this is a great channel. I watched this channel during the Titans/Bills game.

It wasn't at first, but I suppose it only took them another week or so to add it. I'm on Comcast. I'm sure the NFL knows better than anybody at this point that broadcasting nowadays means HD or death. I don't think my cable box has been outside of the HD range in six months.
