Anyone watch it on Prime? We just finished and though it was comical, just did not seem as good as the first.

Had all or most of the original cast.

Parts I liked most was that it brought some old school music performers! Was kinda neat how they altered some of the lyrics.

I just finished it too, i liked it. I saw that it had pretty bad reviews so i was pleasantly surprised.

I think the line that made me laugh the hardest was "Zemunda, Wikanda, Connecticut...i don't know where you're from!"

Watching it now. The saying “Black don’t crack!” Is FO REAL. Eddie and Arsenio barely look older than the original! 😄

It’s been at least 25 years since I’ve watched the original. Do I need a refresher before viewing this one or will it all come back?

Watched it Friday night and was pleasantly surprised. It was better than expected. Eddie and Arsenio took a step back to allow the story to develop with Akeem’s son, which was understandable.

Was impressed with how well the cast has aged, especially Lisa McDowell (Shari Headley) who looks amazing.

Then I read the reviews on Amazon Prime, and apparently I watched a bunch of liberal, woke Hollywood garbage.

It’s all so confusing.

Murphy said the whole idea for the movie came from seeing the deaging effect n another movie. He said “what if we made an additional scene for CtA?” And the idea just snowballed from there.

I thought it was meh. Nowhere near as good as original. Leaned heavy on retread characters and jokes. Had a few moments. Had some bad ones. they went all in on the cast, so I give em that. I thought Leslie Jones was funny. Tracy Morgan was Tracy Morgan, which has played out.

Couldn’t resist the white hate political moment.

Not sure about all the negative reviews..I laughed many times and really enjoyed it...glad they brought everybody back
I think the problem is the stuff that made you laugh was the exact same thing that worked in last movie. For example, if the actor that played the son walked up to me tomorrow l doubt I would recognize him. Just some forgettable characters.

Jermaine Fowler is a comedian and famous actor, he's not just a "forgettable character".
