TV commentators have been gushing over Stokes and how solid his hands are in traffic...and one of them said if he decided to play football, he'd be a dominating TE.

So, it appears that these Common Taters spend time on VOLNATION!

Where else would they get a wacky idea like that?

I heard that from the commentators. I had a smile from ear to ear. I love when the one guy always says(I don't know his name) "Stokes gets them Big Paws on the ball it's his"!!!! Go Vols!

Just pointing out that they were heaping accolades on Stokes because he was out-dueling his opponents in the paint, even though the Center guarding him was considerably taller, and there were a lot of double and triple teams on him.

They were saying that he has such strong hands that the defenders are just not able to get the ball loose. There were a few times where he was able to pry the ball away off of the rebound, and that's when one of them said "imagine him playing football as a Tight End...he could be making a lot of money."

I thought it was interesting enough to bring up. And no, I doubt they hang out on VN. :) It's probably because he doesn't have the typical BB physique. He looks more like a TE in football. Really, that is Stokes biggest asset.

He is very talented in BB, and may well go to the NBA, but he'd probably be more dominant in football (as a TE) than he would be in the NBA. I hope CBJ can talk him into giving it a try this fall

I question Stokes' sincerity about playing football in 2015 but would enjoy seeing him give it a go. Come to think of it, I'd like to see Blake Griffin try it too.

Why would Stokes even consider playing football? He is a special, nationally-recognized basketball player. Even as a marginal player in the NBA he can go play for 10-15 years and make so much more guaranteed dollars than he would EVER make in the NFL. He takes one bad hit in the NFL in his first year and he's done.
