I am in Tuscaloosa this week on business (not pleasure, clearly), and since I left visited College Station last month and left my comments, I shall do the same for Bammer.

1) I thoroughly dislike this town even more now.
2) Roll Tide doesn't even make sense but I keep seeing it.
3) There are definitely more reds, hicks, hillbillies and white trash here than I expected.
4) It smells so foul here....like rotting trash mixed with upper lip.
5) I have not been able to find the "nice part" of town yet.
6) I feel uncomfortable here and I used to live in Memphis.
7) Gas is more expensive here (I guess because people don't want to travel here by choice).
8) I think I got mugged today and didn't even notice it.
9) Rite Aid sells SINGLE, warm, aluminum pints of Miller Lite on the end caps in the office supply aisle for $1.50 each.
10) The local mall I visited today was blasting OUTKAST and LUDACRIS and the locals were dancing whilst shopping.

Get me the **** outta here.

I'm here for the week, just settling in. More to follow I'm sure....unfortunately.

Sounds like Knoxville to me. :hi:

Not one of those points describes Knoxville. You could make an argument for #3 but even that is a stretch as Ttown has Ktown beat by an LARGE margin.

Tuscaloosa seems to be the love child of Whitehaven and Orange Mound.

making my first trip there this year, do they at least have the quality high school football that those two poophole communities have?

Hell, it's good ol boys, rednecks etc all across the south. You'll run into them everywhere.

Outkast wrote Hey Ya and Ms. Jackson

To Hate on them is to hate on some fairly excellent music (even Rolling Stone put Hey Ya in the top 300 songs of all time)

You must have no taste in music for the past twenty years then to not enjoy Outkast.

Oh no, I can appreciate Outkast fo' sho'. Just a strange choice over elevator music or easy listening for an all day mall selection.

First, Tuscaloosa is pretty lame when compared to other SEC college towns like Athens and Oxford. I don't know how it compares to Fayetteville or wheverever the hell Miss State is located. Second, who goes to malls anymore and why?
