I was watching on YouTube the 2005 Cotton Bowl against Texas A&M. I'm not comparing the talent let's be clear on that. I'm comparing the visual. Tennessee had 9 receivers over 6 feet. Next year will also include some tall wide outs. If this team could come together I think the passing game could be very good.

Height isn't everything in the receiving world. We just let loose 6ft 4in Paul Harris who only had one reception last year. Height certainly helps though.

Regardless of why he left, we weren't exactly strong at the WR position and he had every opportunity to get into rotation - and didn't.

Regardless of why he left, we weren't exactly strong at the WR position and he had every opportunity to get into rotation - and didn't.

Butch was not happy with the WR situation/roster from day one if I remember correctly.

We need wide receivers that can run routes and that have acceleration. The height debate is good, but route running and acceleration is what we've been missing for quite some time...
