Purdue has been getting in foul trouble in this tournament also...

Bruce Pearl seems about as popular with refs both in this tournament and in general when he coaches as he is with Hatvol and Lofton4Three. That cannot help us as we seek to build a great program. You do not expect to get any calls in Rupp, but when we are at home, when it is neutral, you do not want to get abused...

I see that you are planning your excuses for an early exit from the NCAA Tourney. I hope we go far and you do not get the opportunity to use it.

He has to, since he's the one that started crowing about not being afraid of anyone on the schedule.

No voldad I am not looking for an excuse I am being serious. Bruce has been kicked out of a high school game! The man does not have good relationships with refs. Coach K works refs, but it is not usually by yelling when they miss calls only. He gets more calls than any coach I watch.

Does anyone else notice that TN as a program under Pearl is not at all popular with refs?

I think that wins gives us a little information on the teams attitude this year. Last year we probably would have lost that one. Good to see them working hard this early in the season.

I think you have it exactly backwards. My impression is that CBP does a good job of working the officials and we get our fair share of calls. Now, I can't cite for you several examples... but, then again, I don't think you're into that.

Impossible! Saint Pearl can do no wrong; thus it would be impossible for him to have strained relationships with refs.

There is no room for criticism of St. Pearl here. Be careful or you will become labeled as a member of the “legion of the miserable”.

Besides, who else could we possibly get to come and have a good relationship with the refs. After all, we are UT and not UK or UNC; we have no BB history.

Thread number 456 in a row that you have started with the mention of Hat. I'm waiting on the proposal.

Fanatic, thanks for always being there.

Bruce Pearl has led TN to finish higher than UK the last 4 years...Enjoy being overrated this year. It will make your fall to him even more fun!

Yeah. I think it might be 9? Not sure. But about your thread

I agree that the refs have called these games really tight down there. Tennessee plays a more physical game so you'd think they were getting hosed but it's just the way they call them. There at the end of the game, when the kid got called for a foul that sent Tyler to the line, I would have died if I was a Depaul fan. I hate late calls in close games like that. Either way, I hope they let UT and Purdue / St Joes play tomorrow.

Maybe it's a lack of respect issue , or they could be jealous of his hot girlfriends . I know I am.:)
