Coach said it is defense for the next ten days and hopefully we'll hold Western Carolina under 60 points would have to for me to think the defense has improved. Oklahoma went 122 to 56 on them I would expect us to do the same.
I definitely think we'll see improvement in the half-court defense for WC, but since they're likely to spend the next 10 days focused mostly on that, I'll be curious to find out if the offense and defense will come together for the first time, or if the offense drops off a tad because they'll be super-focused on defense.
Because the season is still young, we may for a while still be seeing only one part of our game -- whichever one the team is MOST focused on -- at a time working pretty well, and only later see all facets of it come together. I've been watching the team closely and have an idea that a couple of players may need more/different learning time, so it'll be glorious (I hope!) when it all comes together.
We know Kim's mantra: "It takes time." I agree. But we'll get there!
It won't be the best warm-up game for FSU, but being confident and responsive on defensive rotations is what it is, regardless of the competition.Coach said it is defense for the next ten days and hopefully we'll hold Western Carolina under 60 points would have to for me to think the defense has improved. Definitely not a good test before Florida State, no reason we should not hold them under 60 and probably want have to play much defense to do it.It won't be the best warm-up game for FSU, but being confident and responsive on defensive rotations is what it is, regardless of the competition.
I do wonder if the staff differentiates between how many rebounds each player got, and how many each player's DNA got?

Biggest difference, though, will be how many more good teams FSU will have faced, compared to us.
