Complete utter disgrace and you shouldnt accept it!

Im ready to hear all the excuses in the world after that DISGRACEFUL display of football on Saturday. Now, I knew we really didn't have a chance at winning that game, and that's fine. But, you're telling me that we couldn't even score a touchdown...ONE TOUCHDOWN?!!! Speed or not enough speed, this is THE UNIVERSITY OF TENNESSEE! We aren't UTEP or some cupcake that rolls into Faurot Field, but that's how we played and its unacceptable! Our Vols played scrared and like little b#%tches. Tiny Richardson and Josh Smith need to get their act together. That drop for a TD was pitiful!

I know Ill get crucified for bi t ch ing and moaning and being negative but somebody has to step up once and a while and do it....ITS NEEDED! Quit coddling this team and making excuses for them. Again, I don't care that we lost..it was to be expected. But, for that team to come out and bumble the way they did is inexcusable. CJB knows it and it showed on his face the whole night. He looked so red in the face because he and our fans were embarrassed! I guarantee Dooley would have scored ONE touchdown with this same team..and hes the worst coach ever to walk the sidelines.

Yes, I will be happy with a 6-6 record and a bowl game win considering our brutal schedule. But, that performance was unacceptable and its alarming.

Brother, I think we will beat Auburn...I truly do. That's the weird part about it lol But, I just cant accept for us not to score one touchdown on the road. Messed up man...

I was disappointed too but don't think it's within your power not to accept it. What can you do--alter the score?

I thought so too until I saw them run the ball at will against Tx A&M. Tre Mason is a beast.

Yep, Toledo and Indiana played Missouri much tougher than we did. But I'm sure it's all just a talent disparity, right?

Among that entire tirade... I do agree that Josh Smith is having a problem catching the ball. And that is a problem when your primary role is to receive.

STFU. We have won all the games we were supposed to win and lost the games we were supposed to lose.

Oh wait, we beat South Carolina. So we are actually +1 in the supposed win/losses.

We haven't lost to anybody worse than us. Wasn't the goal this year to get to a bowl game and get a signature win? We are on pace for a bowl game and have a signature win. Oh yea, and a consensus top 2 recruiting class.

Good post!! I agree! Why do we keep making excuses for our team?? Bottom line is that at some point and time they need to start playing like a football team. The offensive line is a disgrace and the defense is not showing up for the games!!!

I find it so amusing that many on here think we are actually expected to win games when we are double-digit underdogs. They don't quite understand how sports handicapping works.

I think that it is beyond hilarious when fans who have seen what UT has gone through the past 6 years with coaching changes, recruiting, and attrition start yelling "We are Tennessee!"

The fact that "We are Tennessee!" does not negate the deep hole this program finds itself in. It's like some people think chanting their little mantra "We are Tennessee!" over and over again will magically change the fact that we don't have the talent or coaching consistency to compete with other SEC schools. Yet.

Haven't you seen the boatload of other threads just like this one? Nobody is saying a loss like this is acceptable but give Jones a couple of recruiting classes to get his players in here then you can really say a loss like this one is not acceptable.
