Just moved out of the world of dial up and into high speed internet. Anyway, the Comcast guy set me up today and since the new set up, almost all of the pictures on here are red x's. Anyone know the fix to this?

He would respond, but he has to churn the butter before the cream goes bad.

Not sure, was not home when he set it up.

Dude, it is culture shock. I just moved out of a house that was 30 minutes from anything to right smack dab into Knoxville.

Ha ha....I'm loving being back in Knoxville.

But damn no real help? Almost everyone's avatar is a red x and also all the tabs are red x's.

It is likely that he installed some Comcast software that they act like you "need"... but you don't.

It is pretty strange that you can get the HTML but not the images. Also check firewalls.

Thanks. On this page I can see Eric's and BPV's avatars but no one else's. Does that tell you anything in regards to the problem?

Nope. All avatars are saved in the same location and format.

It is possible that your modem doesn't have a very good signal and is timing out. I would think the Comcast technician would have noted that and corrected it...

What browser are you using now? Same as before? Perhaps you need an add-on that you don't have. Often the red X means you need Java.
