Lately, the anti-virus program on my computer has detected a lot of threats while on this website. I mean no disrespect to Freak and the guys, just want to give a heads up.

I've detected many threats on this website over the past year. No virus though, it's some of the usual posters.

I clicked on a link the other day and a virus came on the tried to get me to buy protection. They told me to take it in. That was the virus and it isn't blocked by the software. Geek squad said they were getting a ton of them.

AVG told me of a Trjosn Horse attempt the other day. It was blocked and proceeded. It was the only thing I've seen. Eh. It's a good site.

I'm guessing it's the ads. Pretty common, nowadays. You give those ****ers the ability to put any ad they want on your site, and they can't screen the content of the ads very well.

Can't blame Freak, he's gotta pay the bills. Blame the advertisement management company.

I've had to use Malware anti virus last week on a Trojan virus..wasn't sure it was frim this site..
then this morning, this was the only site I had running and it popped up again..
so i went through the safe start and Malware again and removed it..

so I think there is a virus somewhere

Are you guys running Chrome or something similar with an ad blocker add-on? If not, I would recommend it. Whenever I load the site in Chrome with the ad blocker, I don't have any problems.

Yep, it's either that or you guys pay to use the website. That said, the only virus warnings I can remember are from links members post from time to time.

Yeah i had a phony xp 2012 antivirus program come on my screen the other day. Tried to get me to buy it. Bascially locked up my computer. Just restart and quickly go to system restore before it catches on and restore to a early date. Then make sure you update your antivirus protection before you browse anymore.

That's the one I got but your fix didn't work for me. My work version of McAfee did not detect it even after updating.

I've did it twice now and finally had to download avg free edition. It scanned and detected a trojan horse. I've gotten it twice now in here.

I did get it to work with just system restore. Not sure if it actually got rid of the virus but i could browse at that point. AVG found it and got rid of it.

A virus got in and corrupted files to the point of shutting down my laptop. But that could have come from a million places.I have been in insecure public area away from wep key security code, etc., I think that was my downfall.I had windows xp reloaded the other day, saved documents to blank cd, reloaded, loaded office windows.Runs perfect now. I heard anti virus can only detect 60% virus'.

Nasty little trojan horse on here. Keeps getting back in my system. It's been busy trying to send emails to all my contacts.
