I'm not defending the poor tackling and coverage, but I'd like to point out that all three punt/kick returns had critical block in the backs that weren't called. If you go back and watch a replay of the game, you'll see them. Those 3 touchdowns should have been called back.

Also...quit calling for new hires, it screams ignorance. Coaching is not the problem, it's the obvious differential in talent between us and Auburn. This is year zero for the new staff, with players they did not recruit, while still being able to beat a ranked opponent and potentially reach a bowl game.

Just be thankful we aren't Florida.

They found some refs today w/no swivels on their necks to see all the fouls on kick-offs & punt returns. They could see TN hold & commit false starts a lot though.

Also, I hate that call on J. Smith. He didn't do anything inappropriate. He just threw the ball down after crossing the goal. He didn't draw attention to himself or taunt. These refs clinch their buttholes and get scared when they see anything that could be unsportsmanlike. It's like common sense never existed to some of these guys.
