Winning always affects Freaky's spelling.

I knew what he meant. Not going to ruin his buzz with spelling critiques.

Yeah, that's a word Yankees transplanted from Joisey to Florida can't pronounce. They say "bring". Ain't that a hoot?

Geeeez, I am a horrible spellur, but LIO just let me have this tonight, come on.

Thanks for the props lawgator. It looks like it may be a battle for the SEC East but there is still a lot of basketball left to play.

Both UF and UT are overachieving pre-season expectations.

UF has the talent edge and Donovan has done a good job coaching this young team.

UT has shown more upside surprise - Pearl has gotten more out his players - virtually all are showing marked improvement in scoring averages from last year. UT is more of a surprise than UF but at this point they're about equal.

Well, you guys definitely have the advantage. We have LSU this weekend and still have to go on the road to Rupp for last game of regular season. The way things are going, word may be then that Kentucky will have to win that game to make the tournament. Even if we beat you on 2/22, we still need to catch up one more in the loss column. Going to be tough.

But how about the fact that we are even having this conversation? I did not expect the Gators to be 20-2 and I know you did not expect UT to be 17-3. I have no right to complain even if we finish #2 behind you in the SECE this year.

Wasn't it nice to play in Rupp and see worry on the UK fans' faces instead of cocky self confidence. It sure got quiet in there during the last minute.

Somewhere Ashley Judd is crying into her Wildcat pillow. Poor thing, I bet she needs a shoulder to cry on. I Volunteer.

Just got back from my local sportsbar where I watched the game. I've gotta say that I was really really really impressed with this win. The homecooking officiating was horrendous! Kentucky went on some runs and Tennessee still pulled it out. Did anybody else see wingate and loften on the bench at the 4 min mark in the second half joking around even though we were only up by one...I love the way they were loose even at UK. Loften was AWESOME. The kid was amazing, way to step it up chris. UK did play great defense however, I haven't seen the stats yet but i'm sure they had quite a few steals. Like I said to my dad when i called him after the game...i've never been this excited about Tennessee basketball and I LOVE IT.....GO BIG ORANGE!!!!!!

This reminds me a lot of the Gators' second or third season under Lon Kruger (can't remember for sure, but it was maybe '94 or '95). The Gators going into the seaon had no respect at all. Made it to the Final Four that year coming out of nowhere. Were up big on Duke in the smeifinals game though we ended up losing. The team and the school were in a complete state of shock at the level of success. After that, we maybe missed one or two NCAA births, but lately we've been a regular (albeit not able in a few years to get past the first weekend).

This could be a breakout year for your program. Hope so. Would be nice to root for an underdog with some character and that is always a blast at tournament time.

Except it sucks when filling out the bracket in the office pool. My heart and my head will be saying 2 different things. It might break my streak of 2 wins in a row!

Tell me about it!! Its tough to be objective when you have such a rooting interest. What do you do if in the Sweet 16 or the Elite Eight your bracket has UT playing Texas? Is Texas better now than they were then? Of course. But so are the Vols. And the Vols beat them before. but your head also tells you that most others think Texas is better and a Final Four team. What to do, what to do ....

Pay double and fill out 2 of them. Mark one "head" and one "heart". That way you can be a homer and fill out another so as not to feel guilty.
