I still think that Florida will be ranked ahead of you in the latest polls. Not saying its right at all. I'd vote you one ahead of us just out of respect for your win over the Gators last month and the Gators' loss to S.C. this week. But Florida beat Kentucky and a ranked LSU team and the latter is much more fresh than the S.C. loss. My prediction is that in the AP Florida will drop to #9 and you will rise to # 10. In the USA poll, I think Florida will be #9 and you will be #11.

Predicitons? Anyone? Anyone at all? Bueller? Thankyou, Simone ....

You say the Gators beat Kentucky and LSU. Tennessee beat # 2 Florida and # 6 Texas earlier on. We also beat Kentucky at Rupp. We swept the South Carolina team that swept the Gators. We are 9-1 and lead all teams in the SEC. Florida is 7-3. We are undefeated in the SEC East. We lost to Memphis but played them close for almost the whole game and we lost to an LSU team that probably would have beat Florida if you all had to play them at LSU.

By looking at all that, the Vols should be ahead of UF.

More likely UT and Florida swap places, UT #9, Florida # 10.

Tennessee is actually getting some respect from the media types this year. They all seem to be on Pearls bandwagon. I say Tennessee will be #9 and Florida #10. The LSU win kept them from falling any further but the loss to South Carolina won't just be forgotten because of that game.

Their win over Kentucky was also already considered in LAST week's poll. Vols for this week... Win @ UK, Win @ UGA. Gators this week... LOSS @ HOME USC, Win @ HOME LSU.

The Vols should easily jump UF in this week's poll. We won two games on the road, vs. UF going .500 at HOME. That's easy to see.

The polls have a life of their own and UF will get enough votes to stay ahead of UT

Most sportswriters and coaches do not pay close enough attention to each individual team they are voting on. So unless the exposure that UT has gotten has brought them to the forefront of the sportwriters' minds, then I still expect Florida to be above UT. It's not logical, but I just do not see most media types taking the polls that seriously.

I personally don't care where we are ranked in relation to the Crocs. I am just tickled to death that WE are ranked and #1 in the SEC East!! If we take care of our remaining games, the rankings will take care of themselves.

Conference overall? Yup, third, behind us and that LSU team they are so proud of beating. I sure wish we had played those guys at home... probably would be one less loss.

If UF had started the season as off the radar as we did, then we'd be ranked ahead of them....but i look at it this way, i'm glad they're ranked ahead of us. They'll be favored in the re match, they're supposed to win. they're at home. they're ranked ahead of us. Who exactly do you think BP will have this team convinced that the pressure is on?

Sound familiar UK fans?

I'm not saying that we'll beat UF in gainesville, but i won't be suprised if we do....i know this, they won't be intimidated going down there....

they win that game, and the rankings, well, they'll take care of themselves.

True dat.

It is just hard to believe that #6 & #7 have the same number of losses as we do (3) and we handed EACH of those teams one of their losses... yet we are #10. No matter how much press we seem to get, I still don't think this team gets the respect they have earned.

I think Florida was off the radar, too. We weren't ranked. We were also not included in bracketology at all, either. What made the difference was that very early on we played in that Coaches Versus Cancer tournament and beat Syracuse and Wake Forest, both of whom at the time were ranked. So, Florida shot up the rankings by mid-November and then of course got way up there with 17 wins to start the season.

In a way its similar to football rankings in that, if you start out low or unranked, not only do you have ot keep winning but you have to get a little help in front of you. Its all subjective, anyways. I do think that right now your seed would be higher than ours. Lots of ball to play between now and Selection Sunday.

yes there is...we could go out and lose our remaining games, lose the 1st round of the SEC tourney and get a 8 seed.

plenty left to do, no time to rest on the laurels because of what someone said about you in late jan, early feb.

Finish.

yeah I agree with that..Vols have a couple better quality wins than UF.

 :dance2: Vols have a 2 game lead over the Gators in the SEC plus both have beaten KY, but the Vols have a "W" over the Gators and one over Texas. How many top ten teams have the Gators beaten or played. Vols have played 3 top 10's and have 2 wins. Vols should be #9 and Gators #10. :clapping: RESPECT. Maybe we need to "SWEEP" the Gators and Cats! :clapping: :dance2:  GO VOLS!!!!!!
