I'm a Titans fan but hats off to the Jets. I make no excuses.Brett still has it. I hope we learn something from it and I'll say I'm happy at 10-1. I guess I should have known that the Titans would lose when the Vols finally won and Smyrna lost as well.

yeah should have known both tennessee teams couldnt win it. I am glad the vols won but it would have been nice to see the titans win as well.

lol I'm starting to wonder if that's case. Don't know who I'll cheer for next week if that's sadly the case

Congrats to the Jets today. Too many injuries for the Titans to stop the Jets offense. Finally caught up with them.

But my goodness, the Jets run a pansy dink and dunk offense. How boring can a team be.

Yeah and you got beat by those pansies by 21 points. Oh thats right though those no name corners you were missing would've made it more even! lol :eek:lol:

Haynesworth the most dominant force in the league as I was told a few days ago was a non factor...but hey your whole team was he was a great fit today.:eek:k:

Guess you didn't see Haynesworth hurt twice did you? And he had plenty of impact. The he frees it up for the LBs and DEs to do stuff - doesn't always get the stats. And yes - having Nick Harper and King >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Carr who commits PI every play.

And I realize we got beat. But it is still a pussy offense. Its no offense or anything - but its more boring to watch that David Cutcliffe's offense in '06 times ten. Dink and dunk. Won't get it done come playoffs - neither will the Titans offense though.

Well I think it sucked :angry: I gotta say Favre still looks good and makes an old grey beard like me smile. But not only did the jets distance themselves ahead of the Phins, they beat my 2nd favorite team. Pretty much worst case scenario...screw sportsmanship good manners!:p

I just fail to see how an offense that scores 34 pts on a good defense like the titans is boring,but okay then.

It's really something to watch him work...the fakes....quick flips into a 2 foot opening...etc.

I wanted the Titans to win, but I also enjoyed Brett's schooling. He is a gunslinger, but he's hell on wheels when he's clicking.
As about the ding and dong, come on....the Titan defense is very good, he can't stand back there hoping for the post pattern to open and give free shots all day.
The man is a PRO and takes, makes, and forces what he can get from the D he's playing. You give him 6 seconds and he'll throw it deep 9 out of 10 times if he believes he can get it in there.
The 72 Dolphin's can now drink up and have a good bottle, and the Titan's got that monkey off their backs.
Fisher won't have to parachute in to get the attention of the team now.

Look at Brett's stats. He threw to the TE a billion times and had like no passes that went through the air more than 10-15 yards down field.

The Titans are a good defense - just not what they were at the beginning of the season when KVB was at full strength and we actually had corners that know that you can't grab the WRs.

Our pass defense has always been a little suspect. It was just more suspect with the dink and dunk 20 play drives.

Thats absolutely true. But thats what makes the jets dink and dunk so dangerous,its their time of possession. They simply take the clock away from their opponents. When an offense clicks that well,theres not many teams that can score within 1 or 2 minutes every posession they have. T.O.P. was like 39min to 21min I believe.

Every other time I saw them Favre was throwing long TD passes down field and lighting up the score board. Only have seen him fully in two games though. Was it used JUST for the Titans game? If so - I like the Jets chances to go far in the playoffs - if not they'll be a lot easier to stop second time around.

They were going deep and taking bigger risks earlier in the season,but after about week 6 they have been dinking and controlling clock. Honestly seems like they can do both well,and that could make them a threat in the post season.
