Great job, Rajon! This guy has been a tough player for us. I wish he could have had more W's to enjoy the past few years, but at least he has given his all for Tennessee!

Too bad he couldn't hang on to that pass from Dobbs. Looked like a well-thrown ball. Man, even when our QB makes a good throw we can't catch a break!!!! Oh, well. Still a great job for Neal.

Perhaps we should suit him up on defense because it certainly looks like our D is continuing to be horrendous.

Thank goodness the guy toughed it out. I'm pretty sure he almost transferred when Dooley was here. The guy has played hard and has been a bright spot with all the garbage that has gone on. I hope he plays on Sundays.

There is no depth on D. The best players have had to play many snaps more than what their bodies can handle. What you see now is a product of that. It really shouldn't be a surprise.

I don't question the veracity of your statement. However, I don't think that it completely explains how we collapse early in games against back ups ... or against Vanderbilt on the final drive of the game after keeping them in check for basically the entire rest of the contest. It's probably just frustration on my part, but it just seems like we are clueless on that side of the ball. The depth issue hurts but it doesn't explain it all. Probably more due to the ever-changing defensive coach staff in Knoxville in addition to player attrition.

More importantly, congrats to Rajon Neal! A great Volunteer!

I agree. Congrats to Neal. I hope he gets his shot at the next level

We have 8 months to discuss the D.

I know i've said this a few times, but also now 12th in career rushing yards, and should finish in the top 15 career all-purpose yards. Pretty good career.

Neal ran hard every game he played at UT and will be missed. Seems like a great person.

With the way the passing game has (not) been and a bad defense when you normally abandon the run, couped with the fact they've played some good defenses... says a lot about Neal and this OL.

I like how it's all praise to him but many people said he should be benched and "glad this OL will be gone".

Shame.
