Local kid from Alcoa had a great first game as a Green Bay Packer. Great to see some local talent have some success in the big league. Hope he can keep it up.

The kickoff return for a TD against New Orleans was pretty awesome.

I liked the pick the second Green Bay made it. Cobb is a playmaker and hopefully will be for a while to come.

He definitely looked impressive last night. I hope he has a long successful career.

Congrats to him. Should be a joy to watch the rest of this season. I know UK fans are proud.

Yep. While UK is busy getting curb stomped in the SEC this year our fans can always lean on his success, even though he dissed the whole fan base on twitter. (justifiably)

Nice to see he can actually be a player with some real coaching. Too bad his few years at Ky are a mere blip on the 26 yr losing streak.

cant believe no comment yet on Fulmer not recruiting him until too late

I will. I constantly hear about how Tennessee had a lack of local talent, and as a graudate of Alcoa High School, over the years we've had some phenomenal talent a mere 15-minutes from Neyland Stadium that has been passed over again and again.

As for Cobb v. Tennessee, looks like he had 101 yards rushing, 24 yards receiving, and 31-yards passing with a 43-yard kick return in 2009 as a freshman. As a sophomore he had 116 yards receiving and 25 yards rushing. No touchdowns in either game. Tennessee won both, obviously.

Tennessee offered him it was just late. I know it's hard to believe but not every kid in East Tennessee grows up wanting to wear the Orange. Cobb had built a great relationship with the coaching staff at UK and they told him he would be given an opportunity to play QB, Tennessee didn't do that. I mean we know how mobile QB's turnout at UT.. (Tee Martin, Shuler, Tony Robinson (great player, bad decisions), Condredge Holloway) so I could see CPF's logic (sarcasm)

he wasn't a QB but would have been a good kick returner at UT. He went where he could showcase his talents and it worked out for him. Hope all the UK fans don't jump on his bandwagon now though

adding cobb and finley is gonna make GB's already great WR's even better

and now they got a good kick returner

Cobb had a great start to his pro career. Too bad Fulmer didn't really recruit him. He has proven to be a great talent that got away from our back door.

Cobb is a natural athlete, and he never should've gotten away from UT! (Though I admit that was our own fault). But that kick return last night, that was just...wow

Wait a second. I thought all Cobb wanted was to play at UT?

This. Cobb wanted to go to UT over any school. Fulmer offered him after he had already signed with UK I do believe.

Some person has a gorgeous avatar and a really bad source of information.
